Internship Scholarships

Scripps students are encouraged to apply for scholarships that they can use toward a summer and fall internship. All Scripps College of Communication rising junior, junior and senior students are eligible.

•  (Qualtrics form) - Each year multiple students are awarded $4,000 to be used towards their summer internship. Students must work a minimum of 35 hours over a 10 week period during the summer. The 2026 application period will open in late January 2026. 

  Don Perris Scholar Harlan Friedman-Romell, BSC '22 used the Don Perris Scholarship to help fund his OHIO-in-LA study away experience. He is now living and working in Los Angeles, Calif.
   

In addition, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships sends out a scholarship application November 1 of each year. Upperclassmen should complete and submit the application by February 1.
