Social Work Internship
Position Description
A placement with Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) includes seeing »¨¼¾´«Ã½ students from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns. Trainees will provide counseling to individual clients and conduct crisis/drop-in coverage. The opportunity to process, observe, or co-facilitate a group is available.
At CPS training future practitioners is part of our mission and we encourage you to participate in activities which align with your own interests and career plans. We provide up to two hours of weekly one-on-one supervision. Additionally, trainees participate in weekly group supervision and continuing education through our graduate professional seminar. 
Placements are for the full, academic year starting in fall semester. Social work interns are expected to be on site for 20 hours per week in fall and spring semesters.

Eligibility
- Enrolled in the Master of Social Work program and applying for traineeship for the second year of your program.
- Completion of the social work foundation curriculum, including theory, direct practice and field coursework
- Identify relevant practice coursework including the number of credit hours taken
- Describe prior experiences with interviewing and assessment
- Availability for 20 hours per week during fall and spring semester.
