
'She Stitches, He Snaps: A Couple’s Creative Journey' on display at OHIO Eastern Art Gallery

The will present "She Stitches, He Snaps: A Couple’s Creative Journey," an exhibit featuring the artistic talents of Cindy and Dr. Richard W. Greenlee.
The exhibit brings together Cindy Greenlee’s handmade quilts and wall hangings with Dr. Richard W. Greenlee’s landscapes and nature photography, offering a creative dialogue between fiber and lens.
Cindy Greenlee’s love of sewing began early, watching her mother make clothes for a family of five children. She made her first quilt at the age of 25, and over the past 45 years, she has created nearly 75 quilts, most celebrating friends, family and special occasions. Now retired; after serving the community as a nurse practitioner for many years, she is exploring new projects, including quilted coats and other creations using vintage quilt pieces.
Dr. Richard W. Greenlee, a valued member of the community since 1990, is a seasoned academic leader and social work educator. He has served in key leadership roles including interim dean of , associate provost for Appalachian access and enrichment programs, and chair of the Department of Social Work.
Since retiring as dean 12 years ago, Dr. Richard W. Greenlee has pursued his passion for nature photography. His work captures the landscapes and the wildlife living and thriving across the 358-acre »¨¼¾´«Ã½ Eastern campus, the Ohio Valley and beyond.
All proceeds from the exhibit will benefit the Patrick Wesley Murphy Memorial Scholarship, established by Cindy and Dr. Richard W. Greenlee in memory of their grandson, Patrick Wesley Murphy, who died at age 2 in 2017. The scholarship supports social work students at »¨¼¾´«Ã½, helping them achieve their degrees and make a lasting impact in their communities. Contributions are welcome to expand the scholarship’s reach.

The show will run Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, through Dec. 12, 2025 with gallery hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. A gallery reception will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at 7 p.m.
