花季传媒鈥檚 College Panhellenic Council honored with four National Innovation Awards

花季传媒鈥檚 Sorority and Fraternity Life has been recognized by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) with four 2024鈥25 College Panhellenic Association Awards.

These honors acknowledge outstanding performance in leadership, student support and creative programming. The council鈥檚 awards include:

  • Innovation in Access, Belonging and Community Impact
  • Innovation in Recruitment
  • Innovation in Marketing
  • Innovation in Operations

The College Panhellenic Council includes 10 inter/national sororities (Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, Pi Beta Phi and Sigma Kappa) and is led by a nine-member executive board serving on a calendar-year basis. Credit for this year鈥檚 achievements belongs to both the 2024 and 2025 boards. Together, they elevated the sorority experience at OHIO with renewed energy, fresh ideas and a drive to exceed expectations.

鈥淭his is the first time in recent history that our Panhellenic community has earned national recognition like this,鈥 said Sorority and Fraternity Life Assistant Director Sydney Stephan. 鈥淭he students took the initiative to set goals, think creatively and align their work with national standards 鈥 and it paid off.鈥

A key factor in earning these awards was intentional goal-setting and pushing beyond the status quo. Stephan shared that many programs already matched national expectations, and once students saw that, they were motivated to do more.

Over the past year, the council strengthened belonging through events such as Southern Smash, Denim Day and Women鈥檚 History Month celebrations; streamlined recruitment training and accessibility; and expanded outreach through a refreshed website, Why PC Wednesday social media series, and the Panhellenic Rundown of chapter events. Operationally, leaders enhanced officer transitions, budget management and meeting structures to support collaboration across all chapters.

Looking ahead, OHIO鈥檚 Panhellenic leaders are focusing next on academic support and leadership development, the two award categories not yet earned. Programs under development include study hour events before finals and mentorship models inspired by leadership training like the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute.
