Science Caf茅 to feature talk on Low Earth Orbit Satellites on Feb. 5

花季传媒鈥檚 Science Caf茅 will present Sabrina Ugazio discussing 鈥淟ow Earth Orbit Satellites,鈥� on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the Baker Center Front Room on the fourth floor of Baker University Center and via YouTube.

Ugazio is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology. Her research focuses on satellite navigation, signal propagation, remote sensing, and frequency transfer. In addition, she is a member of the Avionics Engineering Center.  

In 2023 she co-authored an article published in the 鈥淛ournal of Spacecraft and Rockets,鈥� titled 鈥淢ultiple Global Navigation Satellite Systems Doppler Position of Low Earth Orbit Satellites.鈥�

Ugazio has been involved with navigation-related research since 2009 as a member of the NavSAS (Navigation Signal Analysis and Simulation) group in Torino, Italy, having earned her B.  S., M. S., and Ph. D. degrees from the Politecnico di Torino.
