High performing students from Heritage College Class of 2025 recognized

The top students of the 花季传媒 Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine鈥檚 Class of 2025 were recognized for their scholarship, research and practice at the recent Commencement Awards Ceremony, including several who also walked away with scholarships.

Among the awardees were Luke Kubacki, Malcolm Lee and Dublin Molly Frey, who received the Executive Dean鈥檚 Endowed Scholarship. The $20,000 scholarship is awarded annually to one student on each campus who exhibits the highest caliber of leadership.

鈥淟uke, Malcolm and Molly take initiative and are proactive in their studies. They take ownership of their education. They advocate. They lead. They serve. And in doing so, they really embody our hopes for Heritage College medical students,鈥 said Ken Johnson, D.O., executive dean of the Heritage College and chief medical affairs officer for 花季传媒, as he presented the award.

Ayoub Harb received the Osteopathic Heritage Award, which comes with a $20,000 scholarship and is given to a graduate for excellence in leadership, professional involvement and commitment to osteopathic principles.

The Osteopathic Leadership and Service Award recipient was Lauren Cea. The award recognizes a student whose leadership has contributed to the betterment of the Heritage College as a whole. The award includes a $25,000 scholarship to help cover the cost of medical education.

鈥淟auren wears many hats. She is a student, a servant, a researcher, a clinician and a leader. And she navigates between these worlds with poise, purpose and remarkable ease,鈥 said Johnson. 鈥淪he brings warmth, enthusiasm and genuine connection to everything she does 鈥 especially when it comes to patient care. She leads with heart, serves with passion and is destined to soar.鈥

Class of 2025 students receive awards

Graduates showing the greatest promise of success in primary care, osteopathic manipulative medicine, biomedical sciences, social medicine and specialty medicine were also recognized. Awards were given to the top performing students pursuing a career in each of seven core disciplines: emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and psychiatry. Faculty and staff from the college鈥檚 clinical campuses, where third and fourth-year students do rotations, also selected individuals to recognize their outstanding performance at clinical sites.
