Jordan Spayd

Jordan Spayd is an award-winning filmmaker whose work as a writer/director and cinematographer has screened at film festivals and museums nationally and internationally. As a writer/director, his films often lean comedic while challenging traditional expectations of men in Western society. As a cinematographer, Jordan has worked across genres including comedy, horror, family drama, dance, and documentary, shooting numerous shorts and several feature films.
A strong advocate for emerging technologies, Jordan became a Part 107–licensed drone pilot early in the adoption of drones for cinema and joined the faculty at OUSOF, in part, to teach virtual production using the school’s extended-reality (XR) stage.
His work has screened nationally and internationally at venues including the Athens International Film and Video Festival, Cinema Diverse: Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival, QFest St. Louis, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland.
