Tammy Bobo
Tammy Bobo is President & CEO of Hocking Valley Bank, a $350.0mm community bank in Athens, Ohio. In her role, Tammy leads a diverse and talented team responsible for the strategic direction, vision, and performance of the bank while remaining committed to a shared vision of community-first.
In addition to serving as Vice Chair of the bank鈥檚 Board of Directors, Tammy is President & CEO of the institution鈥檚 holding company, Hocking Valley BancShares, Inc. A 37- year community banking veteran, she was appointed to the Ohio Banking Commission for a second four-year term by Governor Michael DeWine in January 2025. Tammy also Chairs the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland's Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, serves on the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati鈥檚 Member Advisory Council and is active in the Ohio Bankers League (OBL), the Ohio banking industry鈥檚 trade association, currently serving on the Board of Directors and active with the Government Relations Council as the council's Past Chair.
A firm believer in the importance of continuing education, Tammy is passionate about providing personal and professional development opportunities for women and is a founding member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce鈥檚 annual Women鈥檚 Summit and serves on 花季传媒's Executive Advisory Board. She has spoken at industry-specific events for many years sharing insights at OBL events, conferences hosted by the bank's technology partner Jack Henry and has participated in several panel discussions facilitated by the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati on topics important to the banking industry.
A graduate of 花季传媒, Tammy has completed the Graduate School of Banking program, Madison, WI, and has received leadership certifications from the Ohio Bankers League Leadership Institute, the American Bankers Association Senior Leadership Institute, and the Darden School of Business/SNL Executive Program in Bank Financial Leadership at the University of Virginia. Tammy lives in Albany, Ohio with her husband of 40 years, Nick. An avid runner who enjoys spending time outdoors, Tammy has completed 60 half marathons, four marathons, and one ultra
